The Elf on The Shelf

Well it is finally here. This was another contract job with TRICK3D and what a project it was. Please go to www.elfontheshelf.com to see our work in action.
Please visit the North Pole for all of the local hot spots.
This was a broadcast/ website piece. The broadcast is a 30 sec spot for the product. I had my hands on many things. Ranging from the 3D on the broadcast piece itself to the 3D on the site. The pictures that I add will show my samples and I will explain some of my work. Please click to enlarge the images.

This is a sample from the commercial. I designed the lighting, painted the stars in the sky and background landscaping for the exterior.

Kitchen End Frame, and you can notice the last minute changes for the icons to be placed in the scene.

The Kitchen was the overall room that decided the look for the project to come.

Mainstreet, and most of all the building exteriors. After all the client meetings and revised thinking. I really like the way the development of the kitchen turned out for this final scene.

Santa's workshop. Whew! That is all I can say. Go to the website and see the train in action packed with toys.

Welcome to the Hall of Registry. A concept that I came up with and made it all happen in about a week. Wasn't really sure where we were going and wish I only had more time to add to it. I am going to try to get a render of this tower to show. I like this piece.

This is my favorite asset that I created for the kitchen. Go see it in Mrs. Claus' kitchen. The infamous Hot Chocolate Maker. Now we have one here in the studio.
I Concepted, Modeled, Textured, and Light this scene.
Ploy Count: 53,000

Santa's Train:
I Concepted, Modeled, Textured, and Lit this scene.
Poly Count: 125,000
I kept it low res and just use modifiers to assist in the final look of it.

This is in Santa's workshop, we had some plans for it to be more in the scene itself. Though the reality of the project lured us away.

Logo for the Caboose created and provided by graphic cohort Thom Stanley.

Random Assets

Santa's Gate:
I Concpetualized, Model, Texture, and Lit the scenes
Poly Count: 12,000
Mrs. Claus' Jars:
One of my favorite Textures I created. I tried to imagine the stars of the North Pole fused into a Glass Texture.

Gave the overall look and whimsical feel to the buildings and project.
